On Tuesday, October 16th, the oncology center where Denny works had a big open house to introduce the new center to the community. The speaker for the event was Peggy Fleming, the 1968 Olympic Gold Medalist in Figure Skating. She took a tour of the center with Denny and others. Then I got to meet her. Denny and talked with her for 15 or 20 minutes in his office. She is so nice, down to earth, cute, slim etc. She was showing us pictures of her kids, grandkids and husband of 37 years. They live in Los Gatos, Calif and have a vineyard and winery. She was the speaker for the event and did such a wonderful job. She discovered she had breast cancer in 1998. It is gone now. Anyway, it was wonderful to meet her.
